Golf Operations Update

Dear Silver Lake Member, Currently we are complying with all mandates from the State of Ohio and our local health department.  In the Governor’s order, organized leagues, events, and tournaments are not permitted at this time.  Therefore, all organized golf events have been cancelled through the end of this month. Hopefully our organized golf calendar can begin in June with TPC, FTC, and Couples Two-Ball events. Things can change at any minute and we will adjust to any changes accordingly. As stated previously, no shotgun starts will be allowed when we start events due to social distancing guidelines.  Single rider carts will likely continue throughout the early summer as well.  We are anxious to get going but don’t want to be insensitive to the ongoing pandemic we are all experiencing.  We must follow the mandates from our state and local authorities and keep all our members, guests, and staff as safe as possible. GOLF SHOP: Our Golf Shop will open on Tuesday, May 12th under strict guidelines.  Stop in and check out some of the new merchandise.  Capacity will be limited to 6 customers at one time.  Golf Shop hours are listed below (weather depending): May Hours: Weekdays: 8:00am - 5:00pm Weekends: 7:30am - 4:00pm    June Hours: Weekdays: 8:00am-6:00pm Weekends: 7:30am-5:00pm                                   DRIVING RANGE: Our driving range will open on Tuesday, May 12th on a limited basis weather permitting.  Eight stations will be set up across the range tee to adhere to social distancing requirements.  Two stations will be set up at the Short Game area as well.  A max capacity (10) for the practice facility will be set and must be adhered to since our Driving Range is so visible from Graham Road.  Stay tuned for practice and warm up guidelines. MEMBER PLAY Tuesdays & Thursdays: Tee times have been set aside for both days in May starting on the 12th.  The Tuesday Times are on Tuesday mornings and the Thursday Times are on Thursday mornings.  Members are encouraged to sign up and play with others in the allotted times. MEMBER PLAY:  Begins Sunday, May 10th Tee times are now required – same day walk ins are not guaranteed a spot to play WEEKDAY Member Play tee times: The time you sign up for on the tee sheet is your tee time. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your tee time WEEKEND Member Play tee times: Tee times off #1 – show up 10 minutes prior to tee time (no double tee at this time). The deadline to sign up for weekend play is Friday at noon. Our Professional Staff will then repair and post Saturday & Sunday group play tee times by 2:00 Friday.  IF YOU HAVE A REQUESTED PAIRING - IT MUST BE STATED TO GOLF SHOP OR IN THE NOTES on THE TEE SHEET.  Additionally our Professional Staff will rotate the respective group times on a weekly basis until the standard double tee start is permitted. Once again we ask for everyone’s cooperation and understanding during these challenging times.  Our golf course is in excellent condition so come out and enjoy a round of golf.  We need to embrace this “new normal” as we proceed into summer!
