Dear Members,

This past Friday we hosted the Northern Ohio Golf Association's Senior East Championship.  This event was originally scheduled on Monday, June 10th but was cancelled due to heavy rains.  Last Tuesday and Wednesday night before the event the entire  Cleveland/Akron area was hit with devastating rains.  Many courses were closed on Wednesday, Thursday, and some are still not fully open.  On Wednesday night I saw the lower holes of our course completely submerged.  By noon the next day we were back open for play and on Friday we were able to be off the cart paths on 13 holes for the NOGA event.  72 players from private clubs across the area came to play and every one of them were amazed not only that we were open, but how good of condition the golf course was in considering recent weather.  This is greatly due to the tireless efforts of David Lansinger and his crew.  The drainage projects, tree removal, and tree limbing are also key components in why our golf course is handling water better then it ever has.
