A judgment has a very different energy and feeling inside our bodies than a preference does. It’s one thing to tell ourselves, “I would really like to hit the ball in the fairway” (preference), as opposed to the negative energy behind, “That’s a terrible shot I just hit in the rough and I stink for having hit it there once again” (judgment).  We are always going to prefer one outcome over another as we move toward what we want and desire. Opinionated and judgmental thinking, on the other hand, is contaminated at best.  It eventually wears us down with a vampire-like energy that is going to suck the life-force out of us every time.
