The Evolution of our Course

It's no secret that golf courses change over time.   We've dug up a few old aerial photo of our course and we want to put your eyes to the test!

How many changes/differences can you spot in these photos?

  1. TREES - In 1962 there are practically no trees on the interior of the course.
  2. BUNKERS - Only one hole has the original bunker pattern...can you find it?

Oscar Snub

Many of you may not be aware of this, but your very own Head Golf Professional was recently snubbed by the "Academy".  Joe co-starred in a few "short films" about Golf Course Etiquette for the Northern Ohio PGA.

For those of you wondering (and I'm sure many of you are), "Curfew" took home the Oscar this year in the Short Film Live Action Category. But if you ask this anonymous contributor, Joe's film on Tee Box Etiquette makes "Curfew" seem more like "Bedtime"....zzzzzz

Although Joe may not have a golden statue to put in his office, we are sure his performances will be treasured for many years to come!

....and don't worry, there are more Golf Course Etiquette videos on their way so maybe Oscar will come calling in 2014!

Watch these and more video's on the Northern Ohio PGA's YouTube Page!

Off Season...what's that?

We may not all have swing simulators in our garages or maybe a tricked out putting green like this in our basements, but you can still keep sharpening your golf skills as we wait for the weather to break.  Many choose to take their talents south (or west...hopefully you weren't in Arizona this week!) to visit one of our many Club Corp Clubs.

The ability to travel using your ONE benefits is tremendous especially considering you receive free rental clubs!

For those of you not planning a trip, you may want to invest in some training aids such as a small practice putting green or weighted club.  The more golf activities you do during the winter months, the closer you will be to getting back to where you left off last fall!

Not to mention working on your putting might be a good idea considering The Mini Masters is right around the corner!
